The Role You'll Play to Create Success

We are excited to announce our search for a full-time Director of Technical Architecture and Operations! This job contributes to the mission of FrankCrum by being responsible for Applications/Data Architecture, Integration, Implementation, and Release Management of Business-Critical Insurance applications at FrankCrum. 

  1. Manages integration with Third Party Applications including rationalization of systems and processes. Additionally, provide guidance in the due diligence phase to help the organization understand the cost of Integration.
  2. Manages development and enhancements to the Insurance company’s custom applications, web-based solutions, reporting systems and vendor managed solutions.
  3. Develops or generates Reports and Dashboards as needed with tools like PowerBI, Tableau or SSRS report services.
  4. Manages production application change controls and availability SLAs.
  5. Recommends new technologies and services to purchase and work with various vendors for procurement.
  6. Collaborates with a team of onshore Business Analysts and offshore developers and testers to design, build, validate and deploy software solutions.
  7. Makes recommendations for new technologies and services, create POCs, and manage the SDLC process to deploy software solutions.
  8. Works closely with Production Support, Infrastructure, and other DEV teams to support the software delivery process.
  9. Maintains excellent communication with IT Management on all tasks and projects.
  10. Provides reports on IT systems performance and logging to management, as well as creates and maintains technical documentation.
  11. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for the Insurance area.
  12. Participates in the updating and testing of the business continuation plan.

The Attributes We Seek

Keys to success in this position include strong knowledge & interest of software platforms, business systems and database design practices, as well as a strong understanding of T-SQL, Microsoft SQL server, C#, JavaScript, MVC and REST.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field is required. A minimum of 10 years of experience in progressive management/leadership experience of which at least 5 years are in Software Development experience is needed. At least four (4) years of experience with .NET/ASP.NET development as well as .NET Framework web application stack is required.
